Hi everyone, well i have read all the posts on here however im still confused about this? Like alot of people my computer is on a wireless network, however the main line out of my building does have a static IP. Now if i put my server online, my router will have to? Im unsure. Any chance someone could just give me a quick explaination? Thanks.

Yes localhost is working fine. I i couldnt seem to make sure that AVG is allowing port 80 to be accessed, if anyone knows how to do it on AVG anti virus would be greatful for instructions? Also just getting used to wampserver, i was wandering, wamp5 comes with sqlite and mysql so is wampserver the equivelent to apache? or is this the name given to the package? Also is CGI installed by default?

I have read all the documentation required to put online, however, it is not working. I enabled port 80 in windows firewall, and clicked "put online" from the icon in the right corner. I entered the URL like this: [212.84.112.251] I also tried: [212.xx.xxx.251] and i tried: [212.xxx.xxx.251] any ideas?

Wow thanks for the super quick reply. I fixed the problem, turns out with this install you have to create a user for the database to make a connection. With the old install with phpdev it was optional!!! Just found that incredible icon in the bottom right hand corner...!!! Good work.

Just installed wamp5 for the first time, new to this was using phpdev but it didnt support php5. Everything was going well except i cannot connect to mysql. I read that with php5 you need to make sure the path to mysql.dll or something file is correct however there is no php.ini file in c:/windows? Should i uninstall and reinstall, if so what is the procedure?
