so I installed wamp a while ago, btw great package....anyways, as of recently some of my larger sql quieries have started, well I duno how to explain it other than they just wont go through lol...and so I still have the default localhost mainpage where it shows you what all you have installed and now I noticed that it says "MySQL version :MySQL not launched or bad phpmyadmin config ...I know

bob leny...you attitude sucks, because even if they arent able to offer a solution then at least by your initial post you identified the problem and other ppl who might have a solution could come along later and correct it , helping other ppl later. but editing all your posts to no longer reflect the problem but instead just your frustration helps no-one (save possibly yourself).

so I took a look at all the addons for wamp, and I was wondering....(I didnt see any listed) but is wamp compatible with any ssl/https addons? and if so what are they?

thanks for all you help, its now up and running...and I think it was cuz I left the # in front of the virutal host lol... thanks for helping me figure it out though

ok changed the code, saved it restarted, and then tried to access the test.cgi file in the root (www) field where I had put it and I got Forbidden You don't have permission to access /test.cgi on this server. ...tried both (also without the / on the end) and (also with and without the / on the end) same result every time after I tried to go there I opened my apache log and it said:

hmm...I restarted apache, and added .exe to the end of the #!D:/wamp/perl/bin/perl and it gave me a forbidden statment saying that I dont have permission to access /test.cgi on my server...(I tried it both from the localhost and from my webaddress that I obtained) both ways it gave me the same thing. (I did this because I cant seem to access phpmyadmin and the sqllitemanager, except from my loc

ok so I downloaded the cgi plugin and installed it. to d:/wamp/perl I then searched the forums and found one suggestion that I tried and it failed to work...then I found another suggestion to change some of my code in my httpd.conf file and that was to modify my code to look like <Directory "d:/wamp/www"> AllowOverride All Options Indexes FollowSymLinks Includes +ExecCGI Order
