solved, Found that after reinstalling xp and wamp I forgot to set ip to static.

does dreamweaver have an autorename function? look in you www folder for file then open it with notepad to see if code is the same just a thought

I forgot to ask 1) what needs edited in my.ini? 2) what needs edit in php.ini? 3) what needs edited in httpd.conf 4) does any files like dlls need to be put in windows or windows system folders? it has been a long time since i setup a server.

I had everything working fine ontil son got a virus on pc...I reinstalled xp and d/l'ed the latest wamp2 I set port forward in router to local ip then installed wamp2. it shows locally but not on web. I also forwarded my domain ip at my domain purchase place. i do have iis installed but turned off. can anyone think of what is going on? thanks

I have no hair left to pull out,,Can you help my install goes great, I turn on register golbals, set user name and pass [127.0.0.1] brings up configure page ,i see this (phpmyadmin connection not available) in right hand corner of that page . then when i click on [127.0.0.1] i get this error mysql says this :#2003 - The server is not responding The [127.0.0.1] shows the php info page proper see
