Fixed my own problem by looking at the error message! I just did "Stop all services" (instead of restarting the services) and then changed to 5.2.11 and then started it again So the solution was "Have you turned it off and on again?"!

Hi I have the same issue. Using: - Apache 2.2.11 - MySQL 5.1.36 - PHP 5.3.0 WampServer 2.0i [07/11/09] And when trying to switch to php 5.2.11 or 5.2.10 it just won't start (The icon is yellow) with the same error message of unclean shutdown. But will start again if I enable php 5.3.0 again
