I was updating my WP plugins on my wampserver WP installation and somewhere between simple press forum and photosmash plugins, it crashed the local site. I now get the following message on a white screen when I click localhost on the wamp tray icon: "Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_get_current_user() in C:\wamp\www\wp-includes\capabilities.php on line 969." What happened?

Thanks for your prompt response. Actually, as I look at this more closely, I see that when I click on localhost in the wamp tray icon, its trying to go to instead of localhost.localdomain; then it is substituting the "; in the browser (its a wordpress site), and the page that is pulled up has the message: "The blog you were looking for, doesn't exist but you can create it now!"

I did a re-installation of the wampserver. Now when I click on the tray icon menu item "localhost," it directs me to . How do I fix this? I.e., How do I get it to take me to like it did before the reinstallation?
