Ok, I see the table if I click Apache or php (but not mysql). its states: "PHP 5 >= 5.2.0" is compatible with "Apache 2.2.X" I am running PHP 5.2.9 and Apache 2.2.11 So am I reading it wrong? The way I am reading it they should be compatible. But I could be very confused, and ready to be corrected. I don't see anything for mysql compatiblilty, which is my

Is it possible for the versions to be incompatible on localhost, but not production server? Because the versions I wish to run in wamp are the same as my production server. I did check the addon link (which is where I downloaded other versions from). Guess I am thick today did not see why you suggested to go there. Thanks, -JEDs

Well it stopped working shortly after this post. (password not accepted). Reverted to backup running default 5.1.36. Unless I can find out how to switch to my internet env. mysql without problems, guess I have to live with that. It causes errors every time time I try to change mysql version. Thanks, -JEDs

I changed the default php version to the one running on my host server, now in phpmyadmin: Your PHP MySQL library version 5.0.51a differs from your MySQL server version 5.1.36. This may cause unpredictable behavior. Is that an issue to be addressed?

ok, thanks. But unless xampp is part of something else I might have installed, it shouldn't be on my system, never heard of it. I have already searched my entire system for my.ini, the only one found was in wamp I will go ahead shortly with the uninstall/reinstall as above to see if it is a fix, unless I see additional ideas here. oh, and don't worry about being offensive, this is a grea

IIS is using port 80, and it looks like if I remove IIS it pretty much disables my ability to access the internet. Can WAMP be configured to use a different port? If so, how do I determine what port is not used by another program? And how do I configure WAMP to use the other port? Thanks
