I have a serious problem setting up the password for 'root' within MySQL. This is right after an initial setup of wamp server. I have attempted to change the password within PHPMyAdmin as well as changing the password within the MySQL console. Does anybody know what are all of the required extensions for PHP, mySQL, and Apache? I can get all the way up to the point where you click on the " Save Data Base Settings" button within Zen cart and after I click the button, I am getting a blank IE 8 webpage. I feel it has to be a problem with the PHP extensions or some sort of another configuration that is causing me to not get to

Have you attempted to drag and drop the host file to the desktop? When I did, the file actually moved rather than copied to my desktop. Once my changes were completed I simply drag the file that two of the ETC directory and it moved back into that directory.
