Steve, The errors that are being posted are "Notices" of deprecated functions they do not indicate an incompatiblity that will block operation of the application. The solution is to turn down the errors. Honestly on a production box Notices should be off at the very least, if not all but fatal errors. There is no reason to install PHP 5.2.
