Hello, I tried to manually add PHP 5.2.17 to my Wamp server 2 (this is the version my ISP runs). I followed the following steps as per instructions in another thread: Download binaries on php.net (I downloaded php-5.2.17-nts-Win32-VC6-x86.zip) Extract all files in a new folder : C:/wamp/www/bin/php/php5.2.17/ Copy the wampserver.conf from an other php foler (php/php5.2.11/) to the new

OK clearing the tmp folder of sessions worked before but alas it hasn't worked since. Any other ideas? Thanks, Tim. PS. Are there any error logs that I've missed? I would have thought there would be an error message somewhere that might point me in the right direction?

Thanks for the tip. Clearing tmp of the sessions has allowed me back in again. For information, I only have one installation of mysql, although I have uninstalled and reinstalled it a few times. Do uninstals of mysql leave any registry entries behind, or anything else, that might cause a problem if the above trick doesn't work next time? Thanks, Tim.

Hello, I hope someone can help with this problem. Intermittently my phpMyAdmin won't start. I get the following error message displayed. Thanks to Steven my issue has been resolved. As he predicted it wasn't a bug in wamp but a config setting. He added "AddType application/x-httpd-php .htm" to httpd.congi in \bin\apache\Apache2.2.11\conf Working fine now! Thanks again Steven.

Hello, Do you think this could be a bug then guys as bahamucio suggests? My friend has got the same website working on his laptop using xampp. I have noticed that someone else has just reported the same problem in a new post. I suspect it might still be a config setting. What do you think? Thanks, Tim,

Sorry Steve, I misunderstood. "hide file extentions for known file types" is already unticked. I see what you mean about the invalid "//" in the url. That was coming from DocumentRoot in httpd.config where I had entered "C:/wamp/www/". I changed this to "C:/wamp/www/" but I still get the same error message just without the "//". Error message

Hello, I have a similar problem to the person in the initial post. I read the article in the suggested link and my setup conforms to their guidelines. I have two folders in my document root of WAMP (C:/wamp/www) - phptestfiles and currentwebsite. In phptestfiles I have various simple scripts that I wrote to play around with. I can execute these scripts no problem. I simply type and
