I am having the same problem, the icon is red and white. I don't have skype installed and running XP service pack 2. i've tried starting, stopping,re-starting all services from the icon in the taskbar I've tested port 80 with "c:\wamp\bin\php\php5.3.0\php.exe" and it says "Your port 80 is not actually used."
