WAMP is not working with Apache 2.0.63 + SSL. openssl is not corrent. Steps to do: 1. install Win32 OpenSSL v0.9.7m (full , not light!) from site: 2. generate your own SSL certificate. Do it with OpenSSL/bin directory (not Apache!): openssl req -config openssl.cnf -new -out my-server.csr openssl rsa -in privkey.pem -out my-server.key openssl x509 -in my-server.csr -out my-server.ce

Your guide is for apache 2.2.8 and does not work with apache 2.0.63 Apache 2.2.8 doesn't work with PHP 4.4.9 so, for me is useless. My apache does not restart after choosing ssl_module (guide, step 43). I search guide to set SSL with Apache 2.0.63 under WAMP.

There is a few solutions to set-up SSL with Apache: but doesn't works. On clean install WAMP 2.0i SSL is NOT working :-( I have found the reason of errors. There is problem with version of Apache and included SSL libraries. 2.2.11 - (included with newest WAMP) standard setting of SSL is impossible due to wrong SSL libraries. After installed WAMP, server is running. A few PHP commands in HTML page works correct... Reading and doing changes in apache config step-by-step as in a guide. After adding ssl_module (WAMP tray menu) , service does not work. There is no way to start service. Apache is not working anymore. Reinstalling apache makes Apache alive.
