Thankyou so much for that, im very greatful. I don't know how it got commented out, unless the dog layed on the keyboard again while I was away (that happens all too often). Anyway thatnks again mate, I think its working fine now.

Thanks for your quick reply. This is all I get when I click "restart service". It doesn't seem to give a reason why it won't start though. Basically whenever the DirectoryIndex line is enabled in httpd.conf, Apache just won't start. But if I comment the line then it starts fine, but then on the website it just lists all the files instead of loading index.php. I don't know if it matters or not but it is runnng on Windows Server 2003 and it is Wamp version 1.6.4. This has been working fine for the last 2 months and then today I added
