I hava also this error. I cant install phpbb on localhost I have created new datenbank on phpbbmyadmin with name test. I will install phpbb Database server name : root Datebase name : localhost Database user name : test Pass: no pass THE ERROR IS Unknown MySQL server host 'root' (11004) Please help me.
