WampServer not working in Windows 7

I just installed Wamp Server on to my Windows 7 computer. When I double-click on the Wamp Server icon the program will not open. Could this be caused by a conflict between Wamp Server and Symantec Ghost or Symantec Endpoint Protection (for AV11)? If so, how do I resolve this conflict? If it's not due to a conflict, how do I fix it so that the Wamp Server program can run on Windows 7, SP1?

Thanks ahead of time,
aclibrary

have you tried running it as Administrator ? if yes then check that you have latest version of microsoft visual c++ redistributable for your system. Here is a piece of instruction from wampserver download section...

You must have installed Visual C + + 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package x86 or x64
VC10 SP1 32-bit vcredist_x86.exe: [www.microsoft.com]
VC10 SP1 x64 vcredist_x64.exe: [www.microsoft.com]

Hello,

What version of SEP 11 are you running on your machine?

Could you check the Risk Logs, System Logs and Traffic Logs from the SEP client, if any shows any blocks?

Check the Application logs in the Event viewer for an error (if any)

Have you installed SEP with all feature set? You could also, try uninstall NTP and PTP feature (one after another) to understand if any of the feature is conflicting with WampServer.

As Pravin suggested above, check by installing the Visual C + + 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package x86 or x64.

Also check the Wamp Manual - [forum.wampserver.com]

Hope that helps!!
