WampServer

Hi,

I am on production environment and the root (no password) is not allowed. Because of that i can't use phpMyAdmin.

How can i set a user directly into the mysql console in order to start using phpMyAdmin?

Second question: how to i delete the root user after i entered a new user?

Have a look at this there is a section on changing the password and removing the root user.

After reading i found out mysql service is not starting. I started it but it closes automatically after few seconds. What to do?

Look in the mysql error log

wamp -> MySQL -> MySQL Log

Yes iam using wamp, i just reinstalled the version with apache 2.4

So do you have another MySQL server running?

Did you try XAMPP or installing it from the MySQL site before trying WAMP?

No i i didn't maybe windows SQL server which comes by default?

Additional information (if it can help): i am using a dedicated server i just purchased online not using wamp on my physical computer here.

Get Teamviewer and ill take a look now if you like
