WampServer

I have a problem:
Apache server is working fine and shows phpinfo() but mysql doesn't work when opening phpmyadmin it gives me the following error/message:

MySQL said: Documentation
#2002 - No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

The server is not responding (or the local server's socket is not correctly configured).

Any Help?

Are you trying to run the phpMyAdmin from the same machine that you installed wamp onto or another machine on the network??

Ah, the server socket error makes me think you are running on an OS that has IPv6 configured.


click wampserver -> Apache -> httpd.conf


Look forthe "Listen" command

Change it from
Listen 80

to

Listen 0.0.0.0:80


This makes apache only listen on the IPV4 network and may solve your problem

I did as you said but nothing changed, problem is in MySQL only and everything else is working fine (Apache/php) executes any script with no problem, i need to know what's wrong with MySQL???
i installed it with no change at all.

Search your for my.ini. and delete the one that is not part of wamp

Please help @HanyMokhtar how did u solve that problem. Facing that since a week now

you will find a file named "my.cnf" on the same partition you installed wampserver mostly for another server you installed before search for it and delete it...
anyway you can ask for help from stevenmartin99 the moderator, using teamviewer he is an expert.
