WampServer

Hi,
I installed wampserver 2.1 and when i open phpMyAdmin, i get the error, NO PRIVILEGES. I tried creating a database from MySql console and am getting the following error:

ERROR 1044 <42000>: Access denied for user ''@'localhost' to database 'a_db_name'

I uninstalled wamp and reinstalled it a couple of times but the problem still persists. Does anyone know what the problem really is?
