My Wamp servers localhost page will not load I have tried everything can someone please help me!

Apache_access.log there is nothing in the file.

and what do i do in the windows event log?

O the problem is the page just does not load everything is green and there is nothing taking up port 80 its the page just loads and loads and will not load anything.

a blank page with no errors, in my experience, is a PHP syntax error..


try making a new php file, say test.php. inside it stick:

<?php
phpinfo();
?>

http:// localhost/test.php


see if that generates the same problem

edit your c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

It should contain only one reference to "localhost"

and that should read

127.0.0.1 localhost

if you see a line like this
::1 localhost

comment it out like so
#::1 localhost


Reboot. Start wamp and try again.

The hosts file is protected by windows, in order to save it you must have Administrator privilages.
Vista/W7/W8 you may think you are an Administrator BUT YOU ARE NOT.

To successfully save the hosts file do this to launch your editor with Admin Privilages.

Locate your editors icon on the desktop or from the Start menus ( notepad will do if you have nothing else )
left click + shift over your chosen editor icon - will show a menu.
select "Run As Administrator" from the menu.
Navigate your editor to the c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file.

When you have made changes you will now be allowed to save them.

I have done the thing when you take away ::1 localhost many of times and it still does not work.

Did u try 127.0.0.1

I am also facing the exact same issue.
Wamp is installed fine, status is green, but when I type localhost in the address bar, it keeps loading and doesn't show anything.
This is the Apache error every time I restart Wamp:
