WampServer

I downloaded Wampserver (64 bits & Apache 2.4) 2.2E (Windows 7) recently and was able to install it successfully. However, it will only intermittenly load up the local host files in a browser(sometimes they work and sometimes they don't) and will not display any of the www files in the www directory.

The icon is green and tells me that is is online. When I check Apache/service/Test Port 80 it tells me that "your port 80 is actually used by: Server: Apache/2.4.2 (Win64) PHP/5.4.3

When I tried to load up a test website into IE browser, it gave me the following error messages:
(!) SCREAM: Error suppression ignored for
(!) Warning: Unknown: failed to open stream: Permission denied in Unknown on line 0
(!) SCREAM: Error suppression ignored for
(!) Fatal error: Unknown: Failed opening required 'C:/wamp/www/cosmo_shop/index.php'(include_path='.;C:/php/pear') in Unknown on line 0

I have Microsoft Visual C++2010 x 64 Redistributable listed in my "uninstall or change a program", so I assume that I have this program.

Can anyone help me figure out what is wrong with my setup?

None of these errors are problems with wamp.

These are generated by Xdebug Which is the debugger built into wamp.

Its letting you know that you have errors in you shop/cart

It may not be the same on a live server as wamp is setup as a development server to catch these things where as a live server will be in production mode with all error reporting turned off

Thank you for the reply.

I've been trying to also figure out why Wampserver will only load up localhost, phpMyAdmin and the files in the www directory intermittently. The www directory in the menu comes up empty although there is a website in the actual www directory. I just can't get Wampserver to run reliably (most of the time it just won't run at all).

I think I've tried everything I've come across in the threads and online, but I'm obviously missing something. Do you have any suggestions?

Get teamviewer and ill take a look now if you like?

if it localhost that wont load at all i can most likely get that sorted

Hi Cheyne,

Steven looked at the problem with teamviewer and apparently there were some glitches with the configuration settings.

The solution he suggested was to uninstall the wampserver that I had installed and to install a previous version. This worked like a charm.

try that version of wamp ( Its 32 bit )

I also have this problem and the Fatal error:

(!) SCREAM: Error suppression ignored for
(!)Fatal error: Allowed memory size of # bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 32 bytes) in C:...

I wonder if that older version of WAMP will work for me? but I aren't using a 32 bit operating System like that member thou.

Also, I want to know if I uninstall and reinstall the program again, will it affect the software that I ve installed in localhost and the database in phpmyadmin and other settings etc? ( I am worried)

No this is just a warning - you will need to tell php it can use more memory-


Wordpress is very heavy on memory because of all the hooking

I am not using wordpress, it is a plugin for a software. and I checked the php.ini already, memory_limit is 1000M...so what should I do now? The plugin is not working properly.

Anyone knows the way to solve this problem?
