did you read that you have to INSTALL the VC 2010 X86 ?

When i installed wamp i got error saying "This application has failed to start because MSVCR100.DLLwas not found " then i read your post and installed vc for win 7 64 bit from the link u provided, then uninstalled and re-installed the wamp. This time i didn't get any error during installation, but sigh, wamp still doesn't start When i start wamp from tray menu, it shows me an orange wamp icon not that green icon and then when i try to locate localhost or 127.0.0.1 from browser, it doesn't starts and says: Not Found

HTTP Error 404. The requested resource is not found.

I solved this problem on xp 64b on way to install 32b wampp.
Can help to u all.

So, i need to be sure before blowing things up.

I have Windows Server 2008 R2 64 bits.
I need to install wamp 32 bits

Then, here is how i would proceed (please tell me if i'm wrong):

1) Unistall VC++ 2010 x64
2) Install VC++ 2008 x32
3) Install VC++ 2010 x32
4) Install Wamp 32 bits

will it work?? (what about the msvcr100.dll? won't show up?)

i'm an idiot. i don't know what installed, but it was not VC++ SP1. I delete everything and then downloaded VC++ SP1 2010 x86. Now I have installed 2010 x64 and 2010 SP1 x86. That's enough.

No need to uninstall the VC++ 2010 x64

It does no harm being there otherwise sounds good.

Hey i installed from microsoft visual c++ 2010 and my pc is windows 7 professional . I dont think so it sp1.

hey i downloaded the file from here(http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13523)..since i have a widown7 64 bit, but it sill didn't work for me! and i have the VC++ 2008 x86 on my add/remove programs, but still when i enter the error pops out in front of me! any ideas?!

Make sure you have the latest SP1 ( I think version of VC2008 )

i am also facing same problem i have already installed msvcr100.dll using vcredist_x64.exe and vcredist_x64.exe but it shows it is not compatible version try with proper version.

hi i did that still not working.
an httpd.conf error shows up while installing the wamp server on my windows 64bit

but i got this error during installation: window installer version 3.1 or higher is required to perform this installation. please visit web site to obtain the appropriate version of windows installer 3.1 for your system.

and then i install "Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86)" i installed successful. but still when i am installing wamp i am getting same error please help me i am waiting for your response

You also need the C++ 2008 SP1 redist dll.
