which versions of vc++ did you install..

Ok , you should have installed the 32bit VC++ Redis because your wamp is 32b.


but probably best to uninstall wamp and install the 64bit wamp

OK, I uninstalled wamp, installed 32bit VC++, reinstalled 32bit wamp, same problem.

Uninstalled 32bit wamp and installed 64bit wamp, and it works fine.

you didnt uninstall the vc++ 64bits first,.. thats why it didnt work.

but keep it all 64bit as you have done . its best

my wamp server was orange now after reading this forum i downloaded the file and my wamp is green now

I have Both Microsoft Visual c++ 2008 SP1 (Redistributable) as well as Microsoft Visual c++ 2010 SP1

(Redistributable) installed. I checked in the installed program list. Is that supposed to bring any conflict in the port accessing??

I installed on a windows7 machine x64 MV c++ 2010 x64, 2010 x86 and 2008 one..all 3 and works perfect!

For Windows Server 2008 R2 64bit:

You need to install both the 2008 and 2010 Visual C 64bit packages. The installation order is important i.e. first install the 2008 and THEN the 2010 package (otherwise you will get a "side-by-side configuration error".

Hello Everyone,

I have been following all the posts relating to this error but my problem is not getting resolved. I installed the Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package x86 but the server does not leave the Orange color (looks like Apache server likes Oranges).

It would be greatly appreciated if someone could help me out.

Apache will not run without this component


( VC++ 2008 Must also be installed as the WampServer menu uses libraries from - it should be installed by default in most versions of Windows , just check Add/Remove programs to see if its listed)

Is this also installed on your system

I have checked the add or remove program of my system, I have VC++ 2005, VC++ 2008 & VC++ 2010 redistributable in my system. Pls suggest further course of action.
