For Windows 32 : Be sure that you have installed the Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package x86

For Windows 64 : Be sure that you have installed the Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package x64
: VC10 SP1 vcredist_x64.exe >>http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=13523


Apache will not run without this component


( VC++ 2008 x86 must also be installed as the WampServer menu uses libraries from it - it should be installed by default in most versions of Windows , just check Add/Remove programs to see if its listed)

Not quite sure whether what I did is correct , I installed vcredist_x86.exe after the installation of WAMP 2.2. ??

I miss a manual to learn to configure WAMP properly , I remember many years ago I had a guide .

The latest release has problems loading / running curl and also php_zip.dll appears to be missing.

Zip is longgggg gone. It's part of php now so need or extension.

There is no problem with curl provided you installed the correct version of wamp for your machine.

Wamp does not support x86 64bit.

U need x64 64bit for the curl extension


There is another post further down that explains how to get curl working by using a patch if you do have x86 64bit.

The other solution is to use the 32bit wamp even on a 64bit pc

I am extremely sorry to disturb all of you. I am newbie in this field. Please dont mind my questions. I am getting the above problem again on my system.
I will explain what steps i have done till now:-

I have windows XP installed (32bit) on my comp.

A) I have installed Wampserver (32 bits & PHP 5.4) 2.2E. After installing when i click on my phpadmin button, (a new screen opens up - namely "[www.localhost.com]; - the message displayed here is "The connection was reset"

b) Samething happend when i installed wampserver (Wampserver (32 bits & PHP 5.3) 2.2E". After installation when i click on phpadmin button ( (a new screen opens up - namely "[www.localhost.com]; - the message displayed here is "The connection was reset"


(I also got an error when i was installing wamserver - msvcr100.dll is not the correct)

Kindly let me know what can be the possible cause of it?

i dont know about any manual. but it wouldnt have anything about these issues - these are all new issues.

New clean windows install. I installed both 2008 and 2010 VC++ and still get a MSVCR100.dll missing when installing 2.2e x86. I modified the httpd-autoindex.conf file.

When I then run the manager I get:

Exception in module wampmanager.exe at 00F15A0...The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect.

MSVCR100.dll exists in Windows\System32.
