My name is Boris, and i am realy new in this so i try to learn from this video:
[blog.themeforest.net]
So, following the insturctions from this video, i tried to download WampServer - i am not sure what i need so i try to download WampServer 32 bits php 5.4 - 2.2e.(i use windows 7)
every time when i try to install i have the same problem. on the end of installations its shows this messages:
-The application has failed to start because msvcr100.dll was not found. re-insalling the application may fix the problem.
After that i click ok and installation is over. i start program and icon is orange when i set it on "online". when i go on localhost i cant conect :/

aftert that i unistall it, delete folder, restart computer and try with difrent wampserver but again i have some problems on the end with instalation and again i cant conect on localhost...

does someone knows what is problem? sad smiley
sorry for my bad english

Using wampmanager icon in the system tray

click Apache -> Services -> Test Port 80.

What does that report?

Hi,

I actually encountered the same exact error after installing Wampserver (64 bits & PHP 5.4) 2.2E for my Windows7 64-bit system.

I downloaded the application, ran it, selected Firefox as default browser and while finalizing installation it said, "The program can't start because MSVCR100.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."

It said the same thing when I uninstalled it too. My icon was orange. Port 80 did not seem to be the issue.

SOLUTION:

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling once more. This time, instead of selecting Firefox as default browser, I left it as "Explorer". No dll errors. Input SMTP information and then clicked "Finish". Opened Firefox and can now see WAMPSERVER Homepage.

Hope this helps!

- Jessica

So perhaps if you want to use firefox as default on installation you can reinstall or upgrade firefox? Still seems strange though first time i tried isntalling firefox worked for me. :/

Borrissajkas

I had the same problem before but mine was because I was running skype and wamp which were using the same port. I had to change the skype port to something else.

Here is how you can change the port if this is caused by skype. on skype menu click tools then options one of the menus on the left bar is advanced, click on that one and on the drop down that apears just below the menu click connection and uncheck use port 80 and 443 ..............................

Hey @ borissajkas, it has got nothing to do with the port you are using... here's what you should do

download Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86) and install ... that will do the job!

here's link to the VC++ redistributable

Hello, i have had the same problem with map server. I tested port 80 and i got this.

Port 80 is actually used by:
Server:Microsoft-IIS/7.5
Press any key to exit

Im assuming i have to change port 80 to another port such as 8080
but i have no idea how to do that.

Aswell i cannot connect to localhost.
It says 404 not found
Or it says cannot connect

I am also having the same problem and I have been following you guy's postings for the past day and I have tried all your solutions except uninstalling IIS. I have downloaded & installed both vcredist_x64 and x86 and still cannot link to localhost. WTF? I have been working with this for going on 2 days. I'd be lieing if I said I wasn't just a tad frustrated. Thanks for your help so far.
