Hi...

I wanted to pop in and let you know that after upgrading my computer to windows 7 and defragging my computer I reinstalled WAMP.. and it works.. how amazing is that!!

With all the trouble I was having and because I wanted to upgrade to windows 7; I did, I upgraded. After re-installing all my software.. I was wondering how WAMP would behave on the new system, but I must say I installed it and the phpAdmin started up without a problem. I wanted to let you know. I am not sure how to run this software now that it works lol.. but there looks to be documentation which is good.

I also wanted to thank you for the time you took to listen to me and respond.

You may use get. ($.get()). Thy post ($.post() )

Somehow get does not work with long data, but post does.

I want to explain what i just had. When i sent a short note to my database it worked nicely. But when it was a long message it said 403 no permission. So I changed get to post and now it works. What else I want to tell I have a diary in my site and there i describe problems i face while working on my site and it may help others who recently got interested in web site development. if you just let me mention my site address somewhere here, i would be really grateful.

I have made a fresh installation of Wamp Server 2.2 using default settings and I get the same access denied error when I try to use phpadmin. I can accesss mysql from a command line with no password for root and I've checked the phpmyadmin config file which contains the following lines:-

$cfg['Servers'][$i]['user'] = 'root';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['password'] = '';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['AllowNoPassword'] = true;

I'm totally confused!

OK - forget it - a reinstall did the trick. Quiet in here tho' aint it?
