hello forum,
i have wamp 2.2 on w7 machine.
i used to dyndns updater to resolve localhost to tdi.podzone.org/stead.
the home page is fine but no images appear and the links do not work and revert
back to localhost/mylinks.
any ideas why this is happening.

I am guessing here.
Have you coded your links with relative address's? If not try it.
So code a <img src="img/pic1.jpg" /> and not as <img src="[
localhost
] />
Ditto with all site links, make them all relative and it should work.

i don't know.
let me try and explain my situation furhter.
i use dyndns for changing the loclahost into tdi.podzone.org/stead/
this works but when i try to use any links , my belief is they should come up--
tdi.podzone.org/stead/ my rel links but instead it comes up localhost//stead/ my rel links.
and i have no idea why this would switch back to localhost.

ok i give--
where might one find the absolute links.
one guess this is an oscommerce site so maybe in my config files which i do have
http:/localhost as the http server
would i have to change this in the configure.php and back to localhost when i want to go offline.
or is there something in the apache files that i should change????

You didn't say u we're using a cms
You will just have to chane the base URL in a config file that must be set to localhost
If u wanna get Teamviewer I'll take a look and setup vhosts I resolve this
