WampServer

I am just starting out with SQL and know hardly anything about it. I've been trying for hours now to fix this problem. I've searched all over the web and tried multiple fixes but I still cannot access PHPmyAdmin!!!
The error I get is this:

#1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
--phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection. You should check the host, username and password in your configuration and make sure that they correspond to the information given by the administrator of the MySQL server.

I have tried a ton of different fixes, UPDATING mysql.user, reinstalling, putting a password in config.inc.php but nothing is working. I still cannot get past that page. Any info you would need to help me fix this please let me know. Any help, please make it simple easy to follow since this is new for me!

Search and delete any my.ini, my.cnf, my.conf, and/or php.ini file outside wamp folder
