Hello,

I have downloaded wampserver and did the installation.
Now i am trying to put it online but it gives me the message

Could not execute menu item(internal error)
[Exception]Could not perform service action :
The service has not been started.

I have tried to change the hosts file, but windows 7 dont give me the administration to complete the change.
Is there anything I can do?

I am having the same problem with Windows 7. Everything worked for several days, but now I am told that the server is off-line, and starting WAMP does not have any effect.

I'm getting the same error. Apache service won't start. So.... I'm open Windows command prompt and typing in the direct path to httpd.exe. "C:\wamp\bin\apache\Apache2.2.17\bin\httpd.exe"

The prompt gave me an error:
Syntax error on line 2 of C:/wamp/www/roku/movies.conf:
<Directory "C:\\Users\\Mykel\\Music\\MixApp Stream""> path is invalid.

(I'm running WampServer for roConnect primarily)

So, now I know the problem: doubled slashes and double quotes at the end...

Given this isn't everyone's problem. But I suggest using this method to see what the problem is.

There weren't any such errors literally in the file. So, I decided to change the "\" to "/" and the problem is solved. O_O
