Hi

My problem is that a blank page appears only for phpmyadmin.

Version of wamp is 2.1

The color of the wamp icon is green

http ://localhost loads ok.


i need some help

did you check the hosts file...


ipv6 address are ok for localhost but not for phpmyadmin


make sure it HAS

127.0.0.1 localhsot



make sure it does NOT have

#127.0.0.1 localhost



make sure it does NOT have

::1 localhost

I have read and followed up just about any suggestion on this forum but still cannot get back into PHPMyAdmin after initializing - localhost comes up but as soon as I click on PHPAdmin it refuses to load -checked config.inc.php, my.ini, php,ini, httpd.conf, host settings in Windowsfor localhost, etc, but keep getting same error. Is there anyone that could help me fix this ? Running latest wampserver on XP. Thanks.

dear i also have the latest version and windows 7 ultimate..
kindly you follow the following steps and let me tell if its figured out..
1.setup your root user with password in mysql console..
2.turn off the wamp server.
3.check your files related to localhost are correct as Steven explained above.
4. go to directory wamp/apps/phpmyadmin and select config.inc
5. in that file make sure that user = 'root' and password='your password' and save it.
6.turn on wamp server and put online. check phpmyamin now..
may be it should work now because in my case it worked...

I have downloaded MySQL version: 5.1.54 from [pampserver.com] and everything worked fine.
