I just downloaded WAMP, when I open it I get a Microsoft warning box that Aestan Tray Menu has stopped working -"A problem has caused program to stop working correctly. Windows will close program and notify you if a solution is found. Does anyone know how I can correct problem so I can use the program. Thanks

Make sure no other program conflict Wamp such as IIS, Skype, Zonealarm, firewall/antivirus, NOD32, Eset, any web related program including Remote Desktop ...

IIS and Apache/Wamp are both web server and might conflict in some way, so you have to disable IIS in order for Wamp to work

Disable IIS in Vista/W7:

Control Panel, Uninstall Programs, Turn Widows Features On or Off, uncheck Internet Information Services

Disable IIS in XP:

Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Add/Remove Windows Components, uncheck Internet Information Services (IIS)

Restart computer, then restart Wamp

Also, in folder C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\etc, open file hosts and delete anything in this file and have only this line below and nothing else

127.0.0.1 localhost

If using Skype, open Skype > Tools > Options > Advanced > Connection then uncheck "use port 80..." restart Wamp then Skype

I've got the same problem !

All new Windows 2008R2 without IIS.

I have no additional software (so nopthing on 80).

I tryed both x32 and x64 instalers :'(

Well something is using port 80- so go fix it

That's working now !

Unlike WAMPserver 2.0 that work with .Net frame 4, Wampserver 2.1 and 2.2 requiere old .Net 3.x

I am having the same issue. Was the fix to install the .Net 3.x framework?

I have error above, windows 2008x64 R2. .NET framework was not installed. Installed 3.0 (under features), same error. .NET framework 4.0 is not installed.

Installed VC++ 2008 x64 redistributable (found on MS website) and it now starts. Issue has nothing to do with open ports or .NET framework.

I tried all the possible solutions given on the forum till now

History is that just 2 days back I formated my Sony Vaio Laptop which I reloaded with VISTA BASIC. This Laptop is 5 years old which I purchased with preloaded with VISTA BASIC.

Now, after I installed WAMP and when I am trying to open, I am getting this error "Aestan Tray Menu has stopped working, please help me"

Please help me in this regard, looking forward for replies

get teamviewer and ill sort it but your post is very vague as to the issue
