Using Wamp with PhpMyadmin v2

maybe a stupid question and I'm sure it's been asked before (I looked) but anyway the site I am currently working with is currently only Php 4 compatible.

apache 2.0.63
PHP Version : 4.4.9
Loaded Extensions : standardbcmathcalendarctypecomftpmysqlodbcoverloadpcresessiontokenizerxmlwddxzlibapache2handlermbstringgd
MySQL Version : 5.1.36

I'm running php 4 with it but if I want to access or run PhpMyadmin (installed) v3.2.1, I have to run and switch to PHP 5.3 Kind of a nuisance to switch back and forth.

Whats the easiest way to I guess revert back to using PhpMyadmin v2.
Just download v2/ put it in apps / and What file(s) do I have to configure?
Seems like the easiest fix? or the not sure the best work-around.
Not sure if you can run both.
Be fine with just running V2 for now.

Thanks!

Is there a link or some other reference topic somewhere, where this has been brought up before?
Maybe I can just read that. Guess I'll just have to figure it out or do some research...

Hi,

Maybe you can download a previous version of WampServer : wamp5.

Note that this version is no more maintained, I don't know if it works on latests windows versions, and we can't give a good support to help you using that...

Good luck

Florian

Two things:

I know this sounds crazy but /

// Can I just simply uninstall Wampserver2 (that should keep my www files intact)

then reboot

download and install WAMP5?

should be O.K.

Just wondering if there is anything else I have to put aside or delete?

Also, if I have to, I don't see why I can uninstall WAMP5 and go back to Wampserver2 after that.

// Also, I can understand that WAMP5 is no longer officially supported anymore.
My thinking is the last version of WAMP5 should work fine to run basic PHP4.
so I get it.

Thanks as always for the help!

my problem is everytime I go to use phpmyadmin I get the
PHP 5.2+ is required message and have to switch back

should be a way to put phpmyadminv2 in /apps and then
just config a file to point to it.
so everytime I run php4 and apache 2.063
phpmyadmin runs without error
