My primary system is a Windows Vista machine. I had a system crash a while back and had to recover my system. Wamp was still in the root directory, so I tried to start it. Wamp appears in the system tray, but services will not start. So, I tried to reinstall. Same thing, wamp appears in the system tray, but the services will not start. The only error that I see are in the php_error.log:

[23-Aug-2010 18:56:14] PHP Notice: Undefined variable: mywampfp in C:\wamp\scripts\refresh.php on line 252
[23-Aug-2010 18:56:14] PHP Notice: Undefined variable: i in C:\wamp\scripts\refresh.php on line 252

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

you should uninstall both wamp and firewall/antivirus, remove wamp folder, run regedit to search and delete 2 instances wampapache and wampmysql, restart pc, reinstall wamp, then reinstall firewall/antivirus while wamp is running
