#2003 - Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061)

Hi Everybody,

I just installed WAMP (a few times). But i get this error when i go to the PhpMyAdmin page:

#2003 - Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061)

The 'localhost' page works fine and the wamp tray icon is all white and it says 'server online'.
I've been looking on the web for answers, but nothing really works or i don't understand what they mean.

Could someone explain to me what i should do?

Hi,

Make sure that windows hosts file only contains this line :
127.0.0.1 localhost

Check on the web to know how to modify your secured hosts file.
Path should be "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts" (without extension).

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.
I just found out what the problem was... i had to download the latest MySQL version. (5.1.41) Version 5.1.36 doesn't seem to work correctly on my computer.
