Drupal site not working on WAMP

Hi,

I have installed a drupal site on wamp.. The site was taken as a backup from the web server and a local copy was to be created on WAMP for development purposes. The database dump was imported correctly using the source command from the mysql command line, and the homepage opens without any problems. But when I click on any link on the homepage i get redirected to the WAMPserver homepage, not to the the drupal node my links are pointing to..

Please suggest a fix to my problem. I have checked all database connections and they seem to be working fine..

Hello ,

This is because of clean url problem.

Go to administrator->site configuration->performance in drupal site.
Click on clear cache data and then save configuration.

Delete browser's cookie and history data.

Thanks,
Sheetal

Hi Sheetal

Thanks for your reponse to anjuva I've had this problem for over a week and its driving me mad.

Can you explain though how I get to.....

administrator->site configuration->performance in the drupal site

When everytime I try to login I just get taken to the sites phpmyadmin page?

Thanks sirius

Hi,

I am also facing exactly the same issue. Its not possible to login as an administrator as it redirects to wamp server home page. Its really frustrating.

Please help me out of this issue.

Yes, it is a clean URL problem, but you can fix it really easy.

Just aktivate the apache rewrite_module and restart the apache in the wampserver.

Look at "Clean URL Dokumentation" on drupal.org: [drupal.org]

I search himselfe for the problem 3 hours of my live...
