WampServer

Hello,

I can't right click the try icon
It's yellow and when I hover above it it says "WAMP5 1 of 2 services running - server offline"
I tried right clicking, left clicking, double clicking and nothing works.

I'm running Windows 7 x64

make sure no other program conflict wamp such as iis, skype, zonealarm, firewall/antivirus, nod32, eset, any web related program ...

IIS and Apache/Wamp are both web server and might conflict in some way, so you have to disable IIS in order for Wamp to work

Disable IIS in Vista/7:

Control Panel, Uninstall Programs, Turn Widows Features On or Off, uncheck Internet Information Services

Disable IIS in XP:

Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Add/Remove Windows Components, uncheck Internet Information Services (IIS)

Restart computer, then restart Wamp

Also, open file hosts in folder C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\etc and delete anything in there and have only this line and nothing else

127.0.0.1 localhost

if using skype, open skype > tools>options>advanced>connection and uncheck "use port 80..." then restart wamp then skype

Hello,

I've done everything you said and still no luck.

I disablled IIS, changed the local host file and I don't have Skype installed.

yes i'm facing the same problem
did all wht you have said but still no Luck !
i cant just "right click the try icon " in windows 7
n is there any alternate was other then running from the notification area ?

right click wamp icon on desktop> open as admin



u could also go to start> run> services.msc

find

wampapache
wampmysql

and right click> start for each


this will allow wamp to run with out the menu...

I have set both to start automatic
but if i try to START then it try to load n gives error :

"Windows Could not start the wampapache service on Local Computer"
Error 1067: The Process terminiated unexpectedly."

for both wampmysql and wampapache
