I have install the wamp server last year, and all is working fine, I normally do not use my local phpmyadmin, I use my remote copy with my web host. But now would like to try some things and need to use my local copy. I am not sure if this error message is because I have used a pw when installed or what, and do not remeber if I did or what it is, Is there a file I can go into to see pw or change thx

#1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)
phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection. You should check the host, username and password in your configuration and make sure that they correspond to the information given by the administrator of the MySQL server.

If wamp icon is yellow (not fully white), then one service is not started or can't start.
I presume that mysql service is down.
Check mysql logs to get more informations.
Also delete any my.ini which is not in wamp folder (ex: in windows folder)

Then try to restart all services from wamp menu

Dear Florian,

I´m a designer and checking logs it´s no my kind of thing but i´m open to learn. Mi field is´t Wordpress, Flash, XHML and CSS. I´m learning Drupal with Flash, sos, i´m new to all this database things.

I tried to find the file my.ini, I used the search field in Windows Vista Home Premium and gave me no results. I seached .ini and nither.

So, i started Wamp and I went into Wamp/MySQL/Version and Switch from 5.1.33 to 5.1.66 and works but... PHP started with problems so i did the same procedure with it and it worked but... my data bases dessapear. I´m no worry beacuse I have no important data here but wordpress and drupal, so i´ll reinstall them.

But, i didn´t move or change those settings, any clue how i did that?

Thanks again for your time.

Do you suggested me to re installed Wamp?

Note that your mysql databases are not lost since there are related to each version of mysql,
so when you switch mysql version, you switch databases.
