Adding New File Extensions

Hello,

I've been using WAMP for about a year now and have been very satisfied with everything.

Quick question for those more knowledgable than I. In ISS, you have the option to set a certain file extension ('*.mvc' in my case) to execute through a given .dll file. Any idea how to get this to work with WAMP? I'm pretty sure it has something to do with adding an 'AddType' and 'Action' in the httpd.conf but, since it's requiring a .dll, I wan't sure how exactly to go about it.

Thanks for the help.

Yes you'll have to edit the httpd.conf manually. There is no GUI for configuring Apache.

What are you trying to setup? What is the .dll for?

I'm trying to install a copy of Miva Merchant on the server. It requires an engine to be insalled on Windows and I wanted to know how to tell the server to run any file with type '.mvc' through this engine.

Does the documentation for Miva Merchant mention what you need to add to the httpd.conf?

It does mention it for the unix installations and they have it for IIS installations but they don't have both.

I'm not even sure if this is possible, I just need to know how to change the httpd.conf file to basically add new file types/interpreters to my server configuration.
