CLI has stopped working

When I try to run WampServer 2.0i. I get CLI has stopped workingdo an unhandled win 32 exception -- php-win.exe 6016. The windows debugger -- actually Visual Studio 2008 comes up with Unhandled exception at 0x100e4e3d in php-win.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x080257ee.
I am using the 32 bit version of vista. Also I am new to the realm of servers and php so any help would be appreciated.

corrupt installer most liekly. Or another php.ini on pc other then the one in c:/wamp
If u search and u cant find any other php.ini to delete then unistall wamp > delete the wamp folder .> download again > install
