phpMyAdmin - Access denied

I installed Wamp and it was functioning correctly. I am doing a tutorial on MySQL and during this I changed the password for 'root' from no password to a password via the CMD line editor. I can still use MySQL via the CMD editor, but can no longer access Wamp's phpMyAdmin. I get this error message:

MySQL said: Documentation
#1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

How can I rectify this? I would be grateful for any help.

Thank you to both respondents. I have changed my passwords correctly, phpMyadmin is up and running, and the forum on Pampserver has helped me to find "localhost".

hi all!
have the same problem - can not access to phpmyadmin!

#1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

this is the message that comes up when trying to get in..

would be great to get any helpful information regarding to this topic

Nope,
None of them work!
I'm gonna give up!

I edited the server etc..
Still got the error!

My config.php is set!

I know for a fact it's right because i ran it on a webhost 1st!

It's wamp that's not letting me run it!
