WampServer

I was getting 404 errors on localhost and phpMyAdmin so decided to reinstall WampServer 2. After the reinstall i restarted my computer and tried them again, still they are 404 errors.

I was talking to a friend who uses WampServer and he said it may be something to do with my system variables, where can i check these, and what should they be set to?

Or is this some sort of other problem all together?

If you got 404 errors, then probably Apache service is not started.
Your wamp icon should be white if working well.

Try "Test port 80" in wamp menu -> Apache -> Service submenu...

When i go to 'Test Port 80' i get the return of:

your port 80 is actually used by:

Server: Microsoft-HTTPAPI/2.0

Also the server is now stuck as offline, i tried to put it online but i get the following error:

Could not execte menu item (internal error)
[Exception] Could not perform service action:
The Service has not been started

=> disable the SQL Reporting Service or change its port (80 by default)

You can't put wamp online because apache service is not started.

To start Apache, you need to free the port it uses to start.

Finally, you don't need to put wamp online to get it working.
