WampServer

I have installed Wamp using WampServer2.0i.exe on Win XP version 2002 Service Pack 3
Apache 2.2.10 is already installed and running.
Both Wamp and Apache are installed on the F: drive


After Installing Wamp, I edit the httpd.conf file in F:\wamp\bin\Apache2.2.11\conf
to change the listen port to 81 since Apache 2.2.10 is listining on 80.

I start f:\wamp\wampmanager.exe and get a whole bunch of missing dlls and missing entry points in php5ts.dll.

Some of the missing entry points:
php_set_error_handling
_regexec@20
_regfree@4

Some of the missing DLLs:
OCI.dll
phy_odo.dll
aspell-15.dll
libcs.dll
DB2CLI.dll
isqlt09a.dll
php_mbstring.dll
. . .

Using Apache Service Monitor, there are two services:
Apache2.2 - which is Apache 2.2.10
wampapache - the newly installed wamp Apache 2.2.11

I can start wampapache.

On another machine I can get to the wamp server running on port 81.

wampmanager seems to work after all the error popups stop.


So what happened? is PHP fully functional or what????

yo should uninstall both wamp and firewall/antivirus, remove wamp folder, run regedit to search and delete 2 instances wampapache and wampmysql, restart pc, reinstall wamp, then reinstall firewall/antivirus while wamp is running winking

I uninstalled AVG 8.5.
Ran uninstall_services.bat to shutdown and remove services
Ran unins000.exe to remove wamp
deleted the wamp directory
searched registry for and deleted wampapache & wampmysql
restarted server
shutdown iptables service
re-ran WampServer2.01.exe to reinstall
re-edited httpd.conf file
restarted wampmanager.exe


all the same errors as original problem - no change!

I experience exactly the same problem that DougHale described, but on a Windows 2003 SP2 server. This system is inside our corporate firewall, and as such it's not possible to uninstall antivirus or firewall software.

I tried installing on my WAMPServer2i on a Win7 x64 laptop inside our firewall, and got the same error messages after installation. But then i turned off my corporate network and connected to a public WAP, and was able to install successfully; so the installation must be trying to connect to an external source for some reason during the install process.

Can you tell us what sockets need to be made accessible through a firewall in order for this installation to work inside a corporate network?

you have to log in as admin w/ full privilege to run a server, and most likely you don't have that privilege, so either try wamp on your own pc or ask your company network/server admin to set it up for you if possible
