Hi,

I installed wampserver without any problem, but i have the same problem that some users with apache, but in my case i know that IIS is disabled, i disabled it before installing WampServer.

I've been able to make all the services run changing the port for apache to 8080, however, when i type localhost on my browser or select localhost on the wampserver i got the pag not found error.

Do you know what could be causing this, and if it is possible, and recommended, to change the port for apache, and how to make it work.

Thanks,
Jorge Cipriano

Hi,

I've been able to solve this issue, but now i can't access the localhost, but with 127.0.0.1 it works.

will this affect me in some kind of way?

What could be causing this and how can be solved?

Open your hosts file, located in C:/Windows/System32/drivers/etc/
Look for this line
[127.0.0.1 localhost

NOTE: if you're using Vista/Win 7. Before changing hosts file you you'll want to open your text editor first as an Administrator to be able edit this file

If its not there add it at the bottom. Save the hosts file and [localhost] will now work
