PHP not working (worked previously)

I installed WAMPSERVER 2.0 in spring and used it successfully, most recently through late June. Now I need it again and it doesn't work and my WAMP icon is white. MYSQL works and I'm assuming that that means Apache works too, but no PHP. When I run a .PHP file , Firefox wants to download it.

Any suggestions?

Make sure you're going to [localhost] to run your .php script.

You should also be saving all files in C:/wamp/www folder too.
