Thanks Toumimi, it works great for me too now.

v5.2.9 solves this issue.

Note to others (who are new to WAMP):
When downloading the "additional PHP version", you need to left-click:
Wamp-icon > PHP >Version > 5.2.9

This changes the PHP version to 5.2.9, which works with Flex builder 3.

Sorry. I've got the same problem (i.e. following the Lynda.com exercise, made my own little test DB using phpMyAdmin, used the Flex 3 DataBase App Wizard, tested the connection to the db which was successful, saw my test table OK, saw the row names OK, generated the app, then went to run it and got the malformed XML message with a 1088 error) I just installed WAMP and it says I am on PHP 5.3.0. Do I need to go BACK to 5.2.9? If so, how do I do that? Thanks in advance for anyone who can come to my aid.
