hello guys, i need some help. when i finish installed wampserver 2.0i , i go to phpmyadmin n i realize this msg
" The additional features for working with linked tables have been deactivated. To find out why click here." .

what is exactly mean by


$cfg['Servers'][$i]['pmadb'] ... not OK [ Documentation ]
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['relation'] ... not OK [ Documentation ]
General relation features: Disabled

$cfg['Servers'][$i]['table_info'] ... not OK [ Documentation ]
Display Features: Disabled

$cfg['Servers'][$i]['table_coords'] ... not OK [ Documentation ]
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['pdf_pages'] ... not OK [ Documentation ]
Creation of PDFs: Disabled

$cfg['Servers'][$i]['column_info'] ... not OK [ Documentation ]
Displaying Column Comments: Disabled
Bookmarked SQL query: Disabled
Browser transformation: Disabled

$cfg['Servers'][$i]['history'] ... not OK [ Documentation ]
SQL history: Disabled

$cfg['Servers'][$i]['designer_coords'] ... not OK [ Documentation ]
Designer: Disabled

how can i enable this all and isnt serious problem?

fresh install and i have the exact same issue

These are for advanced features of phpmyadmin. You do not need to worry about this. It will not affect your databases.

yup, pls help us. i cant even access my privilege account.

you have to log in as user "root"

no didnt, im still seacrhing for it

I just installed and I am left wondering how to enable/disable these features aswell. Remembering your passward seems irrelevant considering you start with root access and there doesnt seem to be a way to enable/disable from phpmyadmin.

well these are some extra features of phpMyAdmin, and if you want you can turn them on by following the instructions in the documentation link.

i have the same problem, and even though it doesn't effect anything in a bad way, i just wanted to get rid of the warning. so here is what i did:

note: i will call phpMyAdmin root folder "pma".

check if you have "pma/config.inc.php" if not, go in your root folder and copy "config.sample.inc.php" to "config.inc.php"
then you should set those variables that are missing.

if you have a clean install, and all those vars are already there in the config file commented. All you should do is uncomment those lines.

well it works for me, and let me know if you're still having problems

nope it's not a serious problem, the odds are that if you don't know how to enable those options and what those options are, you are probably not going to need them. but its still nice to enable everything just to get rid of that ugly red line ..
