WAMP not opening - One problem solved - now another

After several days of trying to install WAMP on 3 different computers (both XP and Vista) I finally read the post where someone said to disable my firewall. Done! Thank you!

My main goal was to install Joomla! 1.5.12 for localhost design.

Finally I was able to install the Joomla and get through the entire process however, I don't want to run with my firewall shut down.

Any other solutions? Or should I just repeat this process on a machine that I don't normally use for internet?

Thanks so much!

You need to open port 80 in your firewall. You may also need to open port 3306 for mysql.

Thank you so much. I know how to open port 80 for the firewall - did that and it didn't work, but can you tell me how to open the port for mysql?
