adding different versions of php and apache

I had a need to use php 4.x so I installed apache 2.0.63 and php 4.4.9, but when I did even though I switched to both of them, the wampserver would not work. Even though I switched back to the default, it still would not start up and I had to reinstall the wampserver to get it to work. Is there a way to get this to work?

Hi,

To get it working, we have to know what was wrong when you installed older versions...
Try to reinstall them again. If it doesn't work, check apache log (from wamp menu) for more informations.

After adding them again, it worked this time though phpMyAdmin won't work with php version 4.4.9 so I will have to use something else to access my MySQL database.

I don't know which version of phpMyAdmin you use, but you can download the latest one from the branch 2.*, compatible with php4+ (as said on the website ).
