Localhost not working access by IP only

My wamp server's IP is 10.1.61.253 when I Put [localhost]....... it returns blank page or nothing happens.... but when i put [10.1.61.253] it comes to home page of wamp

what will be a problem?

I checked C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\host it is ok
127.0.0.1 localhost is entered here....

You don't say where wamp is?
Is it 'hosted' elsewhere or on your own pc?

It is on my own pc, i nstalled it on f:
localhost was working previously......

sound like you changed ServerName from localhost to ip in file httpd.conf
