WampServer

Just installed WAMPServer.

PHP is running fine, but when I try to load the MySQL console I am greeted with 'Enter password:' - what's the password I've to use for this? I try 'root' and get a 1045 error, then the console closes - nice!

I get this when I first try to access phpmyadmin as per your tutorial:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /phpmyadmin/ on this server.

And when I look in my 'www' folder, there is no phpmyadmin. Did I mess up?

phpmyadmin is now working.

But how do I change my username/pass in my mysql?

#1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

I had the same problem. The Wamp Server tries to login as root@localhost, however the real username is actually admin for the version of Wamp server I have and also the phpmyadmin. So change your environmental variable path to include sql.exe and type sql.exe -u admin to login
