Yes, this has been set up.

You can see a screen shot here:

Originally, the first time I logged into the router the apache was set to 80, I had to change this to 81.

This does not correct my problem. I believe that most if not all ports are blocked.

Did you click Save Settings after filling the fields? If yes, and still have problem to access your wan ip, I'm afraid your ports are not blocked at all, but your internet already routed which can't be rerout again. In other words, imagine you have 2 routers before wamp computer, then you need to forward port from router1 to router2, and router2 to wamp computer; in this situation, your LInksy is router2 and you don't have any privilege to setup port forward on router1 which is located at your isp :-(

You can try to contact your isp to straighten it out, but NEVER mention about webserver, but you can convince them w/ something like Sling Media. Good luck

Right! Can I tell them that I am not able to do remote desktop sharing between my home computer and my computer at work?

---------------

With the example you explained about the router. What do you think would happen if I eliminate my Linksys router and just connect direct to the cat5 cable. (You might not have seen this above... I have NO MODEM in the house) There is a large box outside my house that feeds cat5 cables to my televisions and a cat5 cable that can either go directly into a computer or into a router.

Hey! Guess what?

I removed the Linksys Router and connected the cat5 cable directly into my laptop and a.) my ip address changed and b.) the WAMP5 Homepage loaded up just fine!

So, you are a genius! What you said was true.

This is great news. Now, I will go back and see if my ISP is blocking the standard ports and see if port forwarding is needed, etc...

---------------------------------

Now, with this discovery... using my Linksys router is out of the question. So, what I will need to do is direct connect a computer straight to the cat5 cable for the web server to work.

Now, my next question is can I install a second 10/100 LAN card on this computer and then connect a Cat5 cable from the second LAN card to the Linksys Wireless Router and then have all the other laptop computer get on the Internet provided by the Web Server computer?

lol.... stumped again. As it turns out all ports are still blocked. I was only able to access the assigned IP address using the same computer. When I tried to load the IP address on a computer on a different network (actually it was my mobile phone) I get the following:

( The server returned the follow error while attempting to fulfill your request: "Connection Timed Out". )

Via BlackBerry Curve on AT&T network.

your mobile might not get it right; for your privacy, you pm me your wan ip now and I test it for you ;-)
of course, you don't have to if you don't want to
