I have a problem with php in wamp

hello smiling smiley
when i start a php file in "<?" it is doesn't work .. it is show that like html source i have to start with "<?php"
i ask that becuase i download a php system and all files there start with "<?"
that a way to fix that ?

yes

left click wamp icon , goto php, php settings, and tick "short open tags"
